The goal of the Beyond Emancipation Teen Health Center is to identify and stabilize the medical and mental health needs of foster, probation, and emancipated youth ages 15 1/2 to 21.  The Teen Health Center is a MediCal Provider, and services are available to all teens enrolled in MediCal in Alameda County, whether or not they are current or former foster youth.

Services include:

  • Drop-in medical advice and treatment
  • Medi-Cal assistance
  • Family planning
  • Pap smear
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Vision testing
  • Hearing testing
  • Blood pressure screens
  • Glucoscan testing
  • Diabetes screening and counseling
  • Weight management
  • STD/HIV check and treatment
  • Physical exams
  • Pre-employment physicals
  • Sports exams
  • Asthma education
  • Nutritional support and education
  • Mental health counseling and referrals
  • Immunizations and referrals
