It's too late for fall book money. As of Oct 1st, all colleges in our area have begun their fall classes. This means that it is too late to request fall book money. The only exception is for late-starting classes fall semester classes where you can provide proof of a late start date.
It's not too soon to plan ahead for Spring Semester Remember: book money is awarded only twice a year. If your school is on the quarter system, you can choose two out of three quarters to receive book money. You can, for example, receive funds in August and September 2008 and once again either in January or March 2009.
You do not need to fill out the forms for book money again unless your address and/or your phone number have changed.
Book money does not come to you automatically. You need to provide your class schedule (and your transcript if you are a returning student) in order to receive these funds.
When will applications for Spring Book money be accepted?
If you are a
returning student, you must submit an unofficial transcript that shows your cumulative GPA in order to request book money funds. Your current GPA is determined after your instructors have graded your final exams.Your cumulative GPA must be at least 2.0 to receive the book award. If you are a
new student, you need to turn in a computer-generated class schedule along with two book money forms.
